Not sure what to say?

My favorite professor. His class convinced me to go on and obtain an MPA in Health Care Administration (Ethics in Administration). I loved his style and way of seemingly passively engaging the entire class in lively debates. He was a master at his art. So sorry that he is no longer a leader at Brockport and in the administrative community.

I too just learn of Dr. Fatula's passing in July, last night at a dinner party. I could not believe it.

Dr. Fatula was an outstanding individual, whose intellect, wit and honesty made him an excellent role model for his students. I am honored to have been one of his students, for I learned so much more than just grant writing and nonprofit management, I learned that I can be a better person.
So, for that I thank you Dr. Fatula.

You will be missed by so many.

I have been trying to reach Jim for several days, and decided this a.m. to google to see if I could find a home phone. I was shocked and saddened to learn that he passed away in July and that I did not know.
I am a retired health care executive in Rochester, N.Y. who has known Jim for many years. He was a gentle soul,a superb advocate for his students, and one of the most honest people I have ever known. My deepest sympathy to his family, he will be in my prayers.

Dr. Fatula was by far my favorite professor in the MPA program at Brockport. I've had three classes with him and was really looking forward to the possibility of working with him on my final project this coming spring. Very saddened to hear of his passing just recently. He was a kind, thoughtful teacher with a vast amount of knowledge. He will be missed.

Dear Dave, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your brother-- way too soon. Please know you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Jim and I had a scant four years of friendship while in high school. Jim, Terry Klazer and I spent time together for a couple of years, then I did something stupid and dishonorable, getting booted from St. Thomas High School.
I believe his father wanted Jim to end all contact with me, but we remained friends until he departed for college in the summer of 1964.
He pursued a life of peace while I became a warrior in Vietnam.
Our paths never again crossed, but Jim has had a...

Dave,my deepest sympathy on the loss of your brother. Will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers

Upon returning from an out of town trip, I was very saddened to hear of Jim's passing. He and I were health administration colleagues for 19 years. He taught for me as an adjunct professor when I ran the Health Systems Admin program at RIT and advised me as I started new programs at Roberts Wesleyan College. He was a wonderful friend and dedicated colleague. I could always count on him for intelligent counsel and lively debates. I will miss him so very much. His kindness and sincerity...

I worked with Dr. Fatula on articles published in the Rochester Business Journal on not-for-profit management. He was a joy to work with -- so kind, caring, thoughtful and dedicated. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
