VISITATION & CEREMONY WILL BE THURSDAY DEC. 10th Fleischmanns- James D. Faulkner, 85 of Moran Road died Friday December 4, 2009 at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Florida. He was a native and life long area resident, who was a member of the Teamster's, and drove truck for Whitaker's in Deposit for many years. He was a WWII veteran of the US. Army having earned the African Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of the American Legion Post #216 of Margaretville. He enjoyed the outdoors, RV travel throughout the USA, and boating. He was a member of the AARP, and also Loaner's-on-Wheels. After his retirement from trucking in 1986, he spent many years grooming snow at the Belleayre Mountain Ski Center. He loved animals, especially his dog Sundae. He was born October 29, 1924 in New Kingston, son of the late Ray and Nora Ingles Faulkner. Surviving are his daughter Vicki Bardin of Wallkill, and a son Ricky of Honey Brook, PA. Four grandchildren and 2 great grand daughters, a sister: Anna Moore of Delhi, 3 brothers: Douglas of PA, Ray Faulkner of Morris, NY, and Gordon Ingles of Poughkeepsie. He was predeceased by his wife Nancy in 2006, and siblings: Wanita Hooks, Dorothy Wright, Roderick Faulkner, and Betty Ingles. A Service to Celebrate the Life of Jim will be held on Wednesday at 1pm at the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home 87 Main St. Phoenicia with Fr. Mathew of the St. Francis de Sales Parish. Burial in Halcott Cemetery. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 10am to 1pm prior to the service.
