Duke was a good friend of mine at Mars Hill College where I played College football and he played basketball. Later on we coached football and basketball at Eastside High School together in Taylor´s, SC in the 1970´s, and the players liked his style of coaching. Duke, Harvey Tankersley and I got our Masters of Education In Administration At Clemson University, and we tried to get a little smarter with the changing Of students. played for him at tryon best and most demanding coach I loved him. called him a couple of years ago and talked for a long time so glad I did. so thankful I was a part of the ride. thank you for the part you played in my life. god bless the family and rest in peace coach.
