Am sorry for your loss of Mr. Fitzgerald but i have to tell you that my dad
loved his articles about Lapeer and especially LUM. My dad was in
10th grade at Lum, riding the horse to school and graduated from Lapeer HS 1922. When Mr. Fitzgerald wrote the article, tongue in cheek, about the new Lum airport and the Lum golf course opening up, my dad called me and said - come over you have to read this article. Thanks for the memories Mr.Fitzgerald. - you made a lot of people happy. ...
