Not sure what to say?

To the Fitzgibbons family,

I use to companion sit with Barnard while Dr. Fitzgibbons was President at HVCC. I remember he and Mrs. Fitzgibbons being very generous and open, not only monataryily (as I was in high school this was important) but in spirit. Little did I know, I would follow in his footsteps and earn a PhD in Higher Education Administration from Syracuse University. I know that I in part pursued that degree because of the many conversations we had and the very high...

Condolences to the Fitzgibbons Family especially to Anne. James was a very loving and remarkable man that left a big void in our hearts.

Our condolences to Anne and Michael and all the family

To the Fitzgibbons and Horan families,
I am Gert Therrien's youngest daughter. She was very fond of Jim and the whole family. I worked for the ARC while in college and have had the pleasure of spending time with Bernie. I fondly recall his love of balloons and his remark after my father's death that he was "in HEAVEN!"
You have my deepest sympathy, my thoughts are with all of you.
Sincerely,
Kristina Therrien and family

Im so sorry for the loss of Mr. Fitzgibbons. I personally knew him very well as being a caretaker of his for two years at the Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center. Jim was absolutely one of my favorite residents at MDRC. He "took" to me as a grandchild(I'm 20) and always felt the need to be my protector. :)He made me laugh at the end of a bad day and was one of the sweetest patients I had. I only knew Jim during his stages of Alzheimers and I can't even imagine what an extraordinary and...

Jim served on the Board of the Troy Public Libray with me. He truly was the model of the scholar and the gentleman - something that you could only wish for in a College President. I am better for knowing him.

In case I don't make it to the funeral, I want to express here my condolences to those close to Mr. Fitzgibbons.
I am a member of the Class of 1959 at H.V.T.I., and am one of many who knew Mr. Fitzgibbons as the President. In addition, I was enrolled in Electrical Technology, and, if my memory serves me well, we students were often treated to lessons in Electronics served by James J. Fitzgibbons. He will always be remembered with fondness.

I appreciated Mr. Fitzgibbon's presence and leadership when I was a student at HVCC. My sympathies are with his family. Thanks for sharing your dad with us.

I am a member of the Class of 1959 of H.V.T.I., one of a great number of people who knew Mr. Fitzgibbons as the President. As I recall, he taught some Electronics courses, too, and Electrical Technology was what I was there for. I'll always remember him with fondness.
