Not sure what to say?

Jake and I graduated University College in 1989. We shared a lot of time together thereafter. We rode bikes along the Blue Ridge Mtns, climbed the 2nd highest peak in the state during the dark, and earned green belts in Tang So Do. He was the best buddy a girl could have. He is missed and just can't be replaced.

He had kept a poem I wrote for him for decades...I wish we were as light as feathers, snowflakes, lace; as to float among the heavens so high in the sky...

I knew Jake thru yoga at AFF in Mech. I was fortunate to spend some time outside of class with him, he was such a unique and interesting man! I havent seen him in some time, I gave up yoga awhile back. It was a shock to hear of his passing.
From what I knew of him, Jake lived life on his own terms to the fullest extent! His letters to the editor of this newspaper were always a delight to read.
He will be missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time of adjustment to your loss. I was in high school with James and recently celebrated our 50th class reunion with Irvin..In sympathy and prayer..Gilmer&Rosemary Whittington

Valerie,
As we spoke last night, you asked if I knew how many years (30 or 40 being said) your dad had worked at the Federal Reserve. You knew he retired in 2002. I said I would check today & let you know on this site, but after speaking with several of his co-workers in Audit last night who also retired after 40 years there, one knew he was there in 1960s. I then spoke with your Aunt Eva and she said that was probably correct as he was four years older than her and she graduated from...

Irvin, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I never got to meet James but if he was anything like you I know he was a wonder man. My heart and prayers are with you and your family.

Your cousin,
Shelva

Donnie, Chris and Alex, we were so sorry to hear of your loss. You are in our prayers. Mama sends her condolences as well. God bless.

To Jim's family,
I worked with Jim at the Federal Reserve, and was always impressed by his enthusiasm for doing a good job. But more important to him than that was his pride in his daughter and his grandson, and the joy they brought to his life.

Valerie and Jason, I know this is a very hard time for you both. I hope that, soon, you will be able to take comfort in the pleasure that you gave to Jim.

My thoughts are with you all.

Dear Valerie, heard about your Dad and
I am so sorry. Hope you remember me.

Marie(your Mom's old friend)
