Not sure what to say?

Dr. Floyd was a real credit to the staff of Texas Wesleyan University.
He was not only a good math professor, he had the gift of knowing how to teach. He made math
class fun and enjoyable with his
knowledge and wonderful sense of humor. For the students who were fortunate enough to sit in his classroom, including myself, he will be remembered. Wesleyan has
suffered a tremendous loss.

Dr. Floyd was one of my favorite professors. He was very kind and professional. He always had a nice thing to say and was a model professor. He encouraged me to take more math courses and even recruited me to take a course called "topology" that he wanted to teach. I was not a math major but he convinced me to take it so he could get the required number of students. He will be and is missed.

I am truly sorry to hear of your loss. I know from personal experience the impact of losing someone you love to cancer. Although I never had Dr. Floyd as a teacher, he always smiled and made me feel welcome any time I was in the math department. I will remember him kindly. My thoughts are with your family.
Sincerely,
Tamela Cook
