James Foltz Obituary
Donald Foltz
age 81, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013. He lost his courageous battle with cancer and heart disease at his home in Canton surrounded by family. He loved his family and always had time to play with his grandchildren. Jim was an auto mechanic in the United States Marine Corps and continued working on cars and woodworking as a hobby. He could fix anything! Jim retired from Republic Steel of Massillon with 30 years as a furnace operator. He was a member of the Richville United Church of Christ. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Annette Foltz; father and mother-in-law, Harry and Susanna Lewis; stepson, Larry Roudebush; sister and brother-in-law, Ann (Joe) Hamilton; brothers- in-law, James Nabb and Gene Gee; several uncles, aunts and cousins. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Harriette Foltz; son and daughter -in-law, David (Linda) Foltz; daughter and son-in-law, Marla (Rich) Thomas; grandchildren, Larry, Roudebush, Kristy (John) Hershberger, Chaunte' Foltz, Alexis (Adam) Richardson, Deven Foltz, Olivia Foltz, Sophia Foltz, Jacob Foltz, Katelyn Thomas, Chad (Jessi) Thomas, Casey (Michael) Nichols; great grandchildren, Kassidie Roudebush, Cameron Roudebush, Jewels Hershberger, Jacey Thomas, Jayden Lippencott, Cavyn Thomas, Brityn Thomas and Ethan Nichols.
Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. Friday and 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the Reed Funeral Home, Canton Chapel. Rev. Ed Shriver will officiate the funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, followed by interment at Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association. Dear Harriette, David, Marla and family, we are sad to hear of Jim's passing. Know that he is now free of pain and suffering and with our Lord. Although he is gone he will forever be with you and live on in your hearts, minds and souls.
