James T. Ford, Jr. age 80, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at his daughter’s home in Richlands, NC.
Jim was born on October 13, 1942, in Odenton, MD, to the late Madeline (Ford) Barwick & James T. Ford, Sr. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife Nancy Ford; and two sisters Mary Ann Greenfield and Dorothy May Dick.
Jim was an avid woodworker and cabinet maker for 20+ years. He retired from Mt. CAP after 20+ years in home restoration. He volunteered for many years at the Senior Citizens in Marion, and the Settler’s Museum in Atkins. Jim was a faithful member at Freedom Tabernacle Baptist Church. Along with his passion for woodworking, Jim enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his three daughters Bonnie Wolfe & husband Robert of MD, Diane Fogle & husband Richie of NC, and Karen Weddle & husband Joe of Marion; sisters Carolyn Brown & husband Clarence of WV, Olga Ziegler of WV, and Pearl Schneider & husband Earl of WV; brothers Robert Ford and John Ford both of MD; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces, and nephews, and his special pet companions Bo & Sadie.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00PM, Saturday December 10, 2022, from the Bradley’s Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with Pastor Mike Sage officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00PM on Saturday at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to a local hospice or animal rescue in memory of Jim.
