Not sure what to say?

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I did not get a chance to know James very well but I feel blessed by the short period of time that he was in my care. I work as a CMA at a medical office where James was a patient and I adored his humor and disposition. He was always friendly and I truly enjoyed his visits. My condolences to his family, he will be missed.

A Braw mink rocket (Scots for a hearty, dirty, crazy person) , friend, and until we meet again, much missed! Slainte' Mhath!

I don't know Jim. Never met the man. But, I sure did miss out on that! I hope no one finds this offensive, but I was looking for an obit for a friend of mine, and started reading this and absolutely loved the intelligence and humor - and - WOW - what a life Jim lived!!! My condolences to his family who have lost this entertaining soul. I have a feeling Jim wouldn't mind a stranger popping in to show appreciation - in these really strange and scary days - of his last words that...

Jim came to my wedding on June 29. 1979, in the chapel of St. John, at St. Luke's, to Veronica. A fact we discussed often on Facebook, where we have been friends forever. He was a dear friend and his lovely daughter, Meg, is too. He will be missed mightily. Rest in peace, dear friend.

Jim's obituary reflects who he was .. ironic, often irreverent, knowledgeable, thoughtful, argumentative, a good and faithful friend, a man who felt deeply, was loyal and creative, and caring. I've known Jim for 30 + years, and won't forget him.

A truly wonderful and caring person! We lost touch for several years but I have never forgotten him or the many acts of kindness that people may have never even known about. He will most certainly be missed. Love to his family and friends; you have my sincere sympathies.

I enjoyed working with him at Checker Motors. He was always fun to be around.

Jim's participation in the B'nai Israel choir is fondly remembered. He had a wicked sense of humor. I'll miss him. Sending sympathy to the family.
