Not sure what to say?

I still think about Jim and our days at Central. I sat next to him in Geometry, and he always aced the tests. I barely made it through the year. I went to Straw St. School for kindergarten and 1st grade. Sometimes we would meet at the corner of Union and Sagamore and walk to school together. I always wished that I could have had one more meeting with him in our later years. He was a dear sweet person.

I am deeply saddened by James passing. We were Classmates at Central('53). He was the finest of men and my sincerest sympathy to his family at this very difficult time.

Dear Bathsheba, I spoke to you once when I called Jim to inquire about his health and ask if he would be able to attend our 50th Class reunion from Central. All of his classmates are saddened to hear of his passing. I have fond memories of him from our Straw School days through graduation at Central. He will be sorely missed. As another who signed this guest bood said, he never forgot his roots or his friends from Manchester. The world is a poorer place today without "Jimmy" Freedman.

Dear Bathsheba,

I hope you know how much my father loved Jim. My own brief contact with him at Renaissance made it easy to see why.

My thoughts are with you,

with Sincere Compassion& Sympathy.

He was Always Kind ,And Pleasant

As an old school mate of Jim's from kindergarten through high school, I followed his career with interest. He was always the same, with principles intact. My sympathy to his family who have lost a wonderful part of their family. Peace.

We were deeply saddened to learn of Dr. Freedman's passing. Our deepest condolences are extended to his wife and family.
Despite his many achievements, Jim remained modest and unassuming. He never forgot his roots, and spoke often of the richness of his experiences at Central High School.

When we established a Hall of Fame of distinguished graduates, he was among the first to be inducted.

He will be fondly remembered, and greatly missed by the Manchester Central...

I am an alumnus of Dartmouth ('73) with profound appreciation for all that Jim Freedman did for the College during his outstanding tenure as President. He will be missed, and all stewards of Dartmouth--alumni, faculty, students--should keep him in mind.
