James passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015. James was a resident of Towson, Maryland at the time of his passing. He is survived by his wife Emi. A memorial service will be in the future at the convenience of the family. Professor Furukawa was a kind human being and excellent professor! He was an example for all of us!
