Read MoreAs a college friend of Kate's, I had the pleasure of meeting Jim on numerous occasions at our university, as well as afterward, visiting their family home in Ohio. Jim was always lovable, fun, smart, spirited, and kind. I could tell he had a large positive effect on Kate, and I was grateful for that (because Kate is one of my funniest, most interesting and intelligent friends). It was great knowing Jim when I could.
