Not sure what to say?

Jim was a close friend and colleague in Lincoln Nebraska. He shared with me the great pride and love he had for his family, his belief in the standards we both regarded as paramount in our lives and he literally taught me how to ski ,even though we had to suffer to do so by going to Colorado. He was truly a thoughtful and delightful friend and he will be greatly missed by those of us who had the opportunity to be with him while he and Edith brightened the city of Lincoln

October 30, 2007

I am saddened to hear of Jim's death. I first met him years ago in Lincoln, Nebraska, but really got to know him in Michigan, where he introduced me to Steelhead fishing on the Manistee River. We spent many enjoyable times together, fishing and seeking out good places to have dinner and talk about our fishing adventures. He was a great friend and I will always have fond memories of him.

With deepest sympathy,

Knew your father working for him. A really nice man and an honor to have met him

We are saddened to discover your father's passing. I know that for many years my parents treasured their friendship with yours and your father was responsible for me getting my first job with the public schools which led me ultimately to a lifelong career. I will be forever grateful for that and for his intellect and his kind and caring spirit. I'm sure he is missed in all of your lives, along with your mother. I now imagine your dad standing alongside mine (Ben) and Bud Thompson together...
