Not sure what to say?

We had the pleasure of meeting Jim at the birth of his second grandchild, Olivia. I have come to know Jim through the fond memories and stories that Megan has shared with me. From these memories, I know that he has embedded his faith, love, laughter, and his zest for life in the lives of his family. His legacy will live on in them, forever.

Virginia - I was out of town on business when Jim passed away and the services were held. I would have loved to have been there since I am an Assumption dad involved as a Scoutmaster and lector, too. Jim was great example and I understand Scouters showed up in large numbers to show their support of you and to remember Jim's service. God Bless You. Our family will remember yours in our prayers. To the family of my friend James Albert "Jim" Galvin (Coach Jim). Jim was one of my favorite people in this world. First of all because he was a man after God's own heart, and because he loved people. I can't ever remember Jim ever saying a bad word about anyone or anything. We had so much fun coaching baseball for those many years, first with the YMCA and then at Dornwood. Like myself he never liked pounding the other team into the ground so we would hold the raines on our players. It...

Jim was a wonderful father, husband, and a great friend. I met Jim in 1986 at what is now known as Falley Scout Reservation. I had the priviledge of working with him and his son Al. Jim taught me the ins and outs of Scouting. He became a trusted advisor and true friend both inside and outside of the Scouting program. I will miss Jim with all of my heart and soul and will keep the special memories he helped create with me forever.

I have had the pleasure of working with Jim at the Department of Revenue. He was a great person to work with always ready and willing to help you in anyway possible. I loved to hear him talk about his grandchildren ,how he talked to them on the phone the night before and the new things that they were learning to say. His face would light up and you knew that his family was the most important thing in his life. He will be greatly missed. His family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I will always treasure his fishing stories and tips he so willingly shared. Jim brought a smile to everyones faces, even on a not-so-good a day. May he rest in the peace and joy of Heaven.

May God's love comfort you today and always. We will certainly miss Jim at our future Bon-Fires. Ginny, please know that you are always welcome @ our home.

Jim was a pleasure to work with and would go out of his way to help someone. He will be missed by all who know him. My thoughts are with his family - Know that he was loved.....
