We were sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Every May and October we looked forward to visiting with him as he directed traffic for the Lion's Club yard sales at the Turf Center. His face lit up when he talked about his granddaughter, one could tell she was his everything. He always had memory to share and a hug until we saw him again. We will miss him as we always looked forward to him waving at us to park close and most of the time we missed his direction parking where we could. May he rest in...

Jim and I started on the first DeMatha football team in 1950.He was a jovial lifetime friend who always wore a smile and had a wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed. Rest in peace my dear friend.

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. As a little girl I spent time at his house. Jim was much older then me so I don't recall meeting him but knew about him. My dad, Willard Vick was his cousin. Jim's dad was my grandmother's brother. Since my grandmother died when my dad was 16 his father was the closest relative my dad had locally. All his siblings lived in Canada.
