To the Gerber family: I'm sorry for your loss.

I had the honor and pleasure to work with Jim at Mystic Aquarium for seven years, and we've remained friends since Debbie and I moved to Maine in 2015. Jim was always positive, upbeat and ready to help anyone. He had a steady calm, reserved way about him, yet could surprise everyone with his incredible wit and humor. My heart goes out to Joanne and their kids and grandkids. I miss Jim already. My next visit to Connecticut won't be quite the same. Fair winds and following seas, my friend.

I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you at this difficult time. I met Jim at the Aquarium when I volunteered there. He was so nice to me and always had is smile and a kind word for everyone. take care.

Very sorry for your loss. Raymond Santos

I had the pleasure of meeting Jim as one of his students in EL Middle School as a child, then again as an adult working at Mystic Aquarium. His smile was so warm and genuine. He always had kind words and a way of lifting your spirits. I stayed in touch via FB as much as possible. I am truly saddened to hear of his passing, but feel blessed to have had the good fortune to have known him. My heart goes out to the family. You all are in my thoughts.
