Fred and I met Jim & Arlene as they were
preparing to move to Boulder. we were connected by my book club friend who had been friends with them since college days. my first image, meeting them, saw Arlene as the kite flying high and Jim as her loving anchor. Jim was an extraordinary man in every way, never needing to show his excellence. our prayers go out to Jim's family at this very sad time.

Jim was a friend, mentor and a source of personal inspiration. He was a true gentleman and an enormously lovable man. He helped many like me navigate the corporate world with a unique mix of knowledge, wisdom and irreverence. He was very special to me and I will really miss him. My heartfelt condolences to his family - I cannot begin to understand the void he leaves for them. Muktesh
