Not sure what to say?

I was sorry to see that Jim passed away at such a young age. When I was in high school, I thought 30 was old, but now it seems like 70 to 80 isn't much. In any event, it just shows us how short our lives really are. Jim will be missed by family, friends and associates but he is in a better place and would not come back here.

Dear Jim Gillentine Family, My condolences to you. I don't know any of Jim's family but he was one of my Sunday School teachers at the Akron Baptist Temple. I always thought highly of him and I remember him coming to visit my family at my house and my father thought highly of him as well. May God give you strength and peace.

Dear Gillentine Family, Neither time nor space allow me to say all the things I feel in my heart today with Jim's homegoing following so close behind the passing of my sister, Beulah. The friendship of our parents (beginning way back in their youth in Tennessee and then continuing as they made their homes in Akron) was a special one and I treasure those memories! I will always be grateful to Jim for the devotion he showed Sam and Beulah during their final days on earth. They all three had...

Jeff and Nancy,
I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Jim. He will greatly be missed on earth, but enjoying the glory of Heaven. Jim was a great friend of our family, a great friend of my brother Blaine throughout his life and passing. Blaine and Drema always thought highly of Jim and through them I have too. When I had the opportunity to speak with him, he was always very kind and encouraging. It was a real privilege to know him.

Dear Jeff and family;
Was so sorry to hear about Jim. I remember growing up at ABT when your Dad was our youth pastor. We had great times. I remember the great times we had a Ohio Baptist Acres when your Dad and my Dad had to be there and we were able to spend time there at camp. I also remember when your Dad, Larry Hess and my Dad were ordained together at ABT. I know you and your family will miss him. May God grant you peace and love during this time.

Jim Gillentine -- our first youth pastor, the man who first caused us to realize that nothing in life matters more than what we accomplish for Christ. The man who demonstrated how much fun Christian kids could have, and also the first person to point us toward music as a personally meaningful way of worshipping our Creator. We have such fond memories of Jim, including the warm smile, hug, and words of encouragement that he still offered every time we saw him in recent years. He will forever...

Dear Imojean and Family, my deepest sympathy on Jims passing.

Dear Jeff and Nancy,

We are very sorry to hear of the passing of your father. We truly enjoyed knowing him during our time in Ohio. Our prayers are with you and your family during this time of loss.

Dear Jeff and Nancy,

Our deepest sympathy for the loss of your father.
