Not sure what to say?

miss you, dear cousin.

Jim, who was Jimmy when we were growing up together, and I would go to NY Giant (baseball) games together at the old Polo Grounds. Often his dad, Bill and Uncle Eddie would take us. His mother, Helene and my mother Hermine were best of friends as were our fathers, both named Bill. When Helene died a favorite winter coat of hers was given to Hermine and ultimately given to my wife, Reba who wears it, with fond memories, on cold winter days. Jim obviously had a profound impact on many and I...

Gips Family,
I was saddened to learn that Jim has passed away...My two brothers and I grew up across the street from them on Vine Road in Larchmont and our parents were very close and traveled together frequently. I recall visiting with Jim in Palo Alto in the early 1970s when Linda and were traveling out west ...Our younger brother Richard (Dick) passed away in February 2018 after a 16 month battle with cancer and the pain of your own loss is all too familiar to us. Our best wishes to...

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. May good memories fill your hearts at this difficult time.

My most deepest condolences to the Gips family , may our god of love give comfort and peace, mathews 5:4

I am saddened to see that Professor Gips passed. I had the opportunity to study with him and was blessed by his dedication and love for the person/student with special needs! His love and dedication will be felt for years/generations to come. He touched the life of my sweet Izzy, they can talk and laugh now forever! A great Man! Will be greatly missed!

I was saddened to see that Jim passed away. When I was in the BC MBA program in the mid-80's, he provided my first introduction to Computer Science. I still remember the programming assignments he gave to us-one of which was to work on airline seating! He was a truly memorable professor.

I send my condolences to the whole family.

As a recent (2017) BC graduate, Professor Gips was by far the most influential person in my college career, shaping me into the thinker, researcher, and computer scientist I am today. Over the years I've met a vast number of students and alumni all over the country who say the same. His steadfast support and mentorship of his students is typical of his generosity which has benefited millions of lives with Camera Mouse, Eagle Eyes, and more. I only regret that I didn't get the chance to thank...
