Dear Goldsmith Family,
I am deeply saddened by Jim's death. If you can and want to remember, he was always so nice to me and was wonderful at welcoming me in to your family. I am sorry I was not able to see him or attend his funeral, as I just found out today. His illness didn't give him much time. He will be forever in my heart as someone I loved dearly. As I have for several years, I will miss him greatly. My best wishes to all of you.
Deb

To the Family of James N. Goldsmith Sr.
Sue and I wanted to express our sympathies in your loss. Jim was my Commander-in-Chief the year I was State Commander in Wisconsin. I will never forget the friendship we had, or the good times we shared. I last saw Jim at our Commanders Testimonial last year about this time in Platteville, WI. May he rest in peace, the suffering for Jim has ended, and I am sure he is with the Lord in Heaven. God Bless.

I met Jim when GLNC opened and I will never forget him. He has made a lasting impression in my mind and heart. He truly loved helping people. I saw many of his presentations and always listened cuz he had a new joke or a crazy answer for odd questions. I got a hug each time I saw him and even a kiss once to remember him by. The veteran population has lost a great leader. He will be truly loved and missed by everyone.
