James L. "Jimmy" Goodman, 79, of Bangor, PA, passed away Saturday, September 26th, at his residence.

Jimmy was born in Lincoln, NE on August 14, 1936, a son of the late Alfred Albertus and Quanita Glenna May (Thornton) Goodman.

He was the husband of Ruth A. (Heinsohn) Goodman. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary this past February. Jimmy was employed as an electrical engineer at Albarell in Bethlehem, PA, until retiring. He attended Bethel Bible Church of Mt. Zion in Bangor, PA.

In addition to his wife, Ruth, James is survived by a daughter, Sue Bevins, of TX; two sons, Jim Goodman, of TX; Steven Goodman, of FL; two sisters, Jan Kelly, of TX; Tracey Goodman, of TX; a brother, Al Goodman, of OK; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at Bethel Bible Church of Mt. Zion, Bangor, PA, at 11 AM on Thursday, October 1st. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., "Village of Johnsonville", Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be made at gaffneyparsons.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Bible Church of Mt. Zion, 7742 N Delaware Dr., Bangor, PA 18013.

Aunt Ruth...Alan and I are so very sorry for your loss. We were so glad to spend a few minutes with Jimmy at the family reunion in September. Know that you are never far from our hearts and we will keep you in our prayers during this most difficult time. Love Miriam and Alan Vance

Ruth, I'm so sorry for the loss of Jimmie. He was such a special man with a sense of humor, which I'll always cherish. He is in a far better place now but we will join him one day soon. God bless you, Ruth, and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It's not "good-bye" Jimmy; it's "see you later."

Jimmy will be missed; he was such a nice person, always smiling! At least we know that we will see him again because his faith was in Christ Jesus. So many prayers are being said for Ruth and Jimmy's Family; it's wonderful to be in the family of Christ.
