Not sure what to say?

Since high school days I have considered Jimmer Graham a good friend, but I was so heartened to be able to see him in the last few years at our high school class reunions. We were able to share about all the years in between. I received an email message from him last year in which he was awestruck that after all the years that have passed, those of us who grew up together in Abilene could really take up where we left off and return to the comradeship and affection we had shared in those...

What a friend I have lost. We go
back to junior high. Jimmer was always the greatest guy...I wish that I had realized that sooner.
He came to Dallas to buy a house,
and called me....said we needed to
keep it in the family...and what
a family we had been...I am missing
my guy terribly....what a friend
to all.....I love you Jimmer.......

First, let me thank all those who have posted their thoughts. I cannot tell you how much it means to my family and me, that you have taken the time to write such kind and endearing words about the man I knew only as Dad.

My father was an amazingly talented individual; personally and professionally. He had an infectious laugh and sense of humor that always insured a great time would be had when he was near. He was, and may always be, the smartest person I will ever know. When...

I was trying to remember how many years I had the pleasure of knowing James/Jimmer and was surprised to realize it's close to 20.

I knew him as James in the business setting, working with him in four of his enterprises and Jimmer when he entertained my children with wonderful stories of his Texas upbringing. (I really would have preferred, though, that he not have shared the story about the time he and his brother sawed the legs off the living room furniture....) I learned a...

I lost track of Jimmer after High School. I'm like L.E., in I remember him from football. Very positive person, and, from the notes in this guestbook, I wish I had kept up with him.

Jimmer was one of my most favorite realitives. I was always so excited to see him when he came to visit my family because of the hilarious stories he told and just the unbelievable character he was. I always looked up to Jimmer because of that. He just always seemed to have a smile on his face, a funny story to share, and words of encouragement as I progressed through school. Jimmer was a great role model to me and I hope that as I go through life I can touch as many peoples lives as he did....

In Remembrance of James Graham

James has been a special person in my life since 1983 when I first met him through our work at Itron. Since that time, James and I have shared many personal and professional experiences and throughout, he has been a friend and strong support to me.

Since learning of this sad event, my mind has been filled with memories and my heart with emotion surrounding the man James was and the life he lived. He was most definitely a complex...

Jimmer was a very dear friend to my father who always had a great story to tell. He was a man that inspired you, amazed you with his accomplishments, and encouraged you in your ventures. He always made time for me and my family and this I am grateful for. I feel so very blessed to have known him. He was a true friend who will be missed greatly. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmer's family and friends.

As a newcomer to Abilene just 1 week prior to entering my Soph. year at Cooper High School , I was in need of a kind and friendly gesture ....and found it in the person of Jimmer Graham. I shall always appreciate his gentlemanly nature and thoughtfulness. My sympathies to all of his family and friends. Alyce Anderson Beard
