Not sure what to say?

We will certainly miss you, dear Jamie! He will always be a Barelli boy. Our most wonderful cousin and uncle, too. Shine on. You are loved and missed by many. Thank you for always being you, through and through.

James was a brilliant man. I last saw at the Bourgeois Pig. He had written an article about William Burroughs for volume 1 of Embattled Lawrence. We discussed an article he would eventually write about the Burroughs Trail for volume 3. That may have been the last piece he ever wrote. He knew every detail about that trail. He was sharp, witty, thorough, and always a gentleman. What more can one ask from a writer? God bless you, James, on your journey to eternity.

What a loss. Although I didn´t see James in the last few years, I feel his absence. I believe the universe will treat him well on the next leg of his journey. Safe travels James

I'd like to thank the author of this compelling portrait.
