James, you were more than my friend, more like my dad. `i learned so much from your stories. `You helped us as kids get to be at a better ball player level and that will never be forgotten. `i will always keep you close to my heart

I just found out today that my good friend and work partner from Fresh Kills has passed. We worked on so many trucks and boats and had a lot of good laughs too. He was an excellent worker. I'm very sad to have learned about his passing. He will be missed.

I remember Jimmy and his wife Kathy coming to our home on 62nd st. He was a great storyteller I am sending condolences on behalf of the Hicks family. May he rest well in paradise.
