Not sure what to say?

So many memories of a deep and lasting friendship. We were two couples that sent a lot of time together. The years were much more than just two guys that worked together. Jim and Linda were extended family to so many of their friends. Jim knew well how to be a blessing to others.

So many memories I have of you, Jim. To the family I gave my sincerest condolences.

When I came to the Kalamazoo County Prosecutor´s Office in 1970, Jim, who joined in 1969, was there to warmly greet me. Having previously been a law enforcement officer, he had quickly learned the duties of an assistant prosecutor and graciously mentored me. Thank you for being such a kind and funny friend to dad (Wes Freeland). Jimmy, you and Linda meant the world to dad with many phone calls at his end of life. Truly the most wonderful people you are. Love to Linda and family. We are so sorry.

I worked for PPD in the late 70s and had a number of dealings with Jim. He as a great man, a great friend. RIP

Jimmmmy will be missed and remembered by many. Our thoughts today go to Linda Dan and Katie. I loved watching him feed the chipmunks on the deck showing his beloved demeanor. He truly was a giant among men. David and Toni Buskirk

When I was a young reporter at a weekly newspaper, Jim put time and effort into helping me to understand the criminal justice system and court processes and procedures. Later, as an editor, I passed along his guidance to new journalists. Always appreciated the work he did on behalf of the people.

I have very fond memories of him coming to my sewing shop in Harrisville. We always had something to talk about.

Jim was a friend and neighbor for 50 years. From the first moment I met him, he was a presence in my life and someone to look up to. I will never forget him and our times together and talks. Godspeed, my friend, Godspeed.
