Guest Book

Not sure what to say?

Marjean,

I only just discovered this other Guestbook...and tho' I never had the privilege of meeting your kids, would like to congratulate you and Randy for a fine job parenting your boys (as evidenced by all the sentiments expressed here from those who were honored to know them). James' sweet photo is such a likeness of you from our college days (he must've heard that all the time...how much he resembled his Mom). May the peace and comfort of our Lord guide you through this...

I've already written in this once, but I was having trouble thinking of much of anything at the time, so I decided that I should do it again. I met James when we were both 12, back in the summer of '01 at LYC. He was my escort to Topics & Dance. He seemed like a nice person, funny, kind of quiet. We got along pretty well for a while after camp, then got into this phase where we fought all the time (we were both stubborn kids :-)) and we kind of lost touch for a little while. Then in Dec. of...

Saw Claire's entry, and decided i would write another one as well.

With all of this horror in the news, your death is still the biggest blow to me, because i never took the time to know you behind a smile and hello, and i hope you know that if i had a second chance i'd at least have been a better neighbor.

Being in florida has helped some, not seeing your house, not feeling the empty loss of sadness. I know you are in a much better placed, and will never be...

James-
It's been a few weeks since I lost you, and I find myself thinking of you with a contented smile. It still hurts me to remember that you are no longer with us and that your familiar form will be forever missing in the Warren hallways, but I try to console myself by remembering that you are in a better, kinder place. I hope that someday, in another eighty years or so when it's time for the rest of us to join you up there, you'll be waiting for all of your school friends with...

Mrs. Gregory & Jon,
Though I've known James for a few years, the couple of days leading up to the tragedy are clearer to me. I remember thinking after hanging out with James & the other guys, what a cool, nice guy he was; finally getting to play DDR with him (he was awesome) at the arcade he worked at, surprising Jon at his work-even as James was given explicit instructions not to :), taking us out to Krispy Kreme, hanging out at the house, and when I decided to call it a night, he...

Mrs. Gregory and Jon,
My heart goes out to you both.
I have wonderful memories of both Mr. Gregory and James. I met James at LYC 2002, and its hard to wrap my mind around that I wont see him again. Although I hadn't known Mr. Gregory for that long, I served with him at the MO pre-teen camp. He set a wonderful example for everyone around him... both of them are deeply missed.
Humanly its hard to understand why it happened, but God's ways are higher than our ways... He sees...

Even though I did not know these victims personally, I am so sad to know all that has happened and realize the effects. Thousands of churches and scattered brethren, as well as millions in the world, are now very aware of this very horrific event, with countless prayers for the surviving loved ones daily, along with heartfelt announcements about this in so many different church groups all over the world. Hopefully we will not think that these wholesome God-fearing people died in vain. Not a...

Our prayers to the family for comfort and peace..
