April 2006 - Jim doing what he loved

World has lost one hell of a man and classmate (CHS Class of 65')He will be missed.

Dearest Patsy and Family,
We have lost a great friend. Sherri and I think a lot of you and Jim. We
couldnt know any kinder and more loving people . Jim. was a wonderful man, so mannerly and caring. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and the LADY MONARCHS have lost a great fan. God speed Jim and peace be unto you Patsy.
With deepest sorry, Grace Kerr and Sherri Young (Norfolk)

The Frischkorn Family has lost a Great Co-worker and Friend. I did not work in the same office with Jim but got to know him very well through the years. Once in a while when ever he would come to Wilmington he would take some time to come by the office to say Hello. He will be truely missed by all who knew him.

I had the opportunity to meet Jim about 10 years ago when I began umpiring the Little League All Star tournaments. Jim never hesitated to give me advice during our time together and always brought a smile to my face with his never ending humor. He will truly be missed by all of us in the umpiring community who had the privilege to know and work with him. God bless the Griffin family during this time.

Patsy,
I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

I'm so sad to hear of Jim's passing. Even though I left the Frischkorn family 10 years ago, I thought of him often, and enjoyed the "Christmas card" letters he would send me around March or May! He could always put a smile on my face when I was having a difficult day, and he was generous with his kindness. My prayers are with you, Patsy, and all of Jim's family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Jim was a great friend and like a brother. We were both Little League and
high school umpires together for many
years. I was always encouraged by his
cheerful but no nonsense attitude toward the game of life. He always had
a good word for everyone and could tell
a constant stream of comedic jokes. I
will miss him, and Patsy and Ryan I know you will too. May God bless you in
His love during these trying times. If
you need anything just call out His name.

I only knew Jim through Fletcher and our monthly Oyster Roasts. He always had a smile on his face and a cheerful disposition. We will surely miss him.
