Sgt. Jim was my first desk sergeant I met when I came out of the 92nd Recruit school and was assigned to Romeo in February of 1978. He was not the unpersonable person you were taught to watch out for when the "cubs" reported to their first post. He told me to have a seat next to him and asked about me and where I came from and where was I living now that I had just came into town.
