Not sure what to say?

I found out much later about Jim's parting. We met many years ago in Vienna and he remained a staunch and wonderful friend until the last time we met in 2000?. May you rest in peace now, Jim, love always, Lynne Cooper

Memorial Service-- in memory of Jim Griggs, Wednesday, April 6th, 3pm, Christ the King Church in Richland, WA. Friends are invited to attend the service and to gather afterward for a reception in the church multipurpose room. The Griggs family were recent members of this parish.

As Jim Griggs' only sister, I am not sure yet that I fully believe he is gone. In the years since I left our childhood home, I didn't get to spend nearly enough time with Jim and his family, yet every moment that we shared in the last many years is made more golden by my memories of "Jimmy". Many who have shared their memories of him may not know that he was a tiny "preemie", and when he came home from the hospital, his 6 year old sister was a little disappointed because he didn't look like...

It was with great sadness when I heard of Jim's sudden and completely unexpected death. We met more than 20 years ago and enjoyed a lot of music, travelling and good times together. Jim was a wonderfully generous and sincere man who always had an open ear in times of need. After moving back to the U.S. we remained in contact via phone and email. But every now and then when we met again we always continued right where we had stopped the last time. No need for small talk. This is a rare gift...

I am shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Jim's death. I met Jim through the Kankakee Area Stargazers in September of 2002. After numerous entertaining emails to our egroup, I had the good fortune to finally meet him at a club meeting. I found Jim to be an enthusiastic, friendly, very funny man who put a smile on the faces of everyone around him. Although we hadn't heard from him for some time, I was hoping he would eventually get back in touch. I see now that he was very involved in a...

Jim Griggs was a very creative, intellingent, generous man with a wonderful sense of humor. He was my best friend and former husband for many years. My sincere condolences go out to the entire Griggs family. Good bye, Jim, and may you now rest in peace. With remembrance for all the good times in our early lives, Karen Griggs

Anne-I was so shocked to hear about Jim. The CK moms group of your earlier days is praying for you and the girls. Let us know if we can help. Erin

Jim,

I am deeply shocked to find out about your passing. It's been nearly 25 years since we first met, and we had a great deal of fun and music during your "atomic age" with IAEA in Vienna. "There is a time for laughing and a time for not laughing and this is not one of them!" was one of your favourite sayings then.

Founding a family and moving back to USA physically separated us, but the deep friendship of "twin brothers of different mothers" continued.

I would like to express my sincerest condolences to Jim's family. My heart goes out to Anne and the girls.

It has been a great privilege and pleasure to work with Jim as a Russian interpreter both overseas and in the U.S.

I have always admired his love for his family, his passion for his work and dedication to this country. I will never forget kindness and pride in his eyes when he was talking about his girls showing their pictures. He was a fantastic Dad!
