MG Grimsley was an inspiration to us as Cadets. He and his wife embraced theSCCC.Rest in Peace.

When I think of leaders at The Citadel General Grimsley is the Citdelman I think of.

What a privilege I had as Commanding Officer of The Salvation Army in Charleston to work with General Grimsley. As a member of our Advisory Board and leader of the drive to relocate and build new facilities, he led by example and did so much to help us succeed. The Citadel family and all of us have lost a wonderful, caring man.

A Great American Patriot, A Great Son of South Carolina, and a Great Citadel Man. Now, lost to the ages. Thanks Gen. Grimsley for all you have done for your Country, SC, and The Citadel. God Speed to your next Duty Assignment!

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

His distinguished service to our Country and The Citadel will not be forgotten.

The CITADEL and our Country have lost a great man. He was instrumental in my attending and staying at the Citadel. He wrote my letter of recomendation and kept me "on track" for 4 years. I will miss him greatly. My sympathy and condolences to his family.
