Not sure what to say?

Alice and Jerry,
So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Dale and I will always remember Jim as the guy who taught us how to garden. Every time we put a seed or plant into the ground we will be thinking of Jim.

Alice and Jerry,
We are so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was a true friend and mentor who leaves us with fond memories and great experiences. Our deepest sympathies are with you.

Alice and Jerry
I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. How well I remember how he loved to tease when I was a kid only to find one another many years later in Bismarck. I will never forget the evening that Jack introduced us. We had many years to catch up on and reminsce. The three of you are such precious memories of the "good ol days". I know he was struggling but now he can fly constantly.

Sandy (Horst) Wells

To Alice and family,
I have fond memories of Jim. I worked at MDC and it was always a pleasure to visit with him. I particularily liked the story of him building his own airplane. My husband Jim and I have moved to Scottsdale Az now but I wanted you to know you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

No one but myself will ever know the impression Jim had on shaping up a skinny young kid at Camp Rucker. I only saw Jim once after Rucker but I thought of him many many times. Keeping in touch with Frank Eide I often asked of Jim. It is my loss that we were never able to "hook up" again.

Alice and Jerry - You are in our thoughts and prayers. Jim was special and we are grateful that he touched our lives and we will always cherish the wonderful memories of him. God Bless. Helen & Sylvia

Col.Grimstad had a positive impact on every person that served with him in the Aviation Section of the NDNG. He was one of those rare leaders who led by example. His pilots accumulated thousands of accident free hours under his leadership. His humor, mannerisms, and thoughtfulness bring to mind many memories. Jim, you are missed and remembered.

Jim was a great friend besides being my "leader". From the Rucker days thru his leading the Air Section. I shall always remember his laugh and friendship. May God Bless.
