Not sure what to say?

You will be missed Dad!!! It has been really hard to go through this now. "Thank you for the music" I am very proud to call you my dad. I will miss you so much. Thank you to everyone who came to the visitation and thank you for all the warm wishes.

Sorry for your loss.I will miss jim he was a very good man. Cameron Smith

Jim was a real plank spankin' wire whippin' lowdown and dirty guitar player.
J.J. Grover was my friend and it's a real loss to all of us who treasured him. My condolences to the family. I'd be there for the memorial with you if I could. Maybe I can catch up with a few of you later in the month. I hope so.
God bless.

Stroke performing in Sparta Michigan with Jim on the left, playing lead guitar.

I played with Jim in the band, Stroke. I remember his playing was full of energy and fun. It is sad to see a person at 59, go. I remember his double-takes whenever I let loose one of my abstract comments. He was a good guy and a fun straight man!

Jim was my friend nearly my entire life. Kind of my big brother. I had the pleasure of playing in a couple of bands with him namely wutzit2ya, and the j.j. grover band. He was an extremely talented guitarist and a dear friend. I will miss him terribly. God has another talented angel in his band. Kevin Griffin

Aunt Louise, was my godmother so I knew Jim when I was younger, lost contact with him, but I do remember him giving me a record of a song that he sang, I would like to extend my sympathies this is a tuff time, I lost my Dad in February, so I know what you are going through, remember all the good times,

I will always remember the good times we've had during our almost 20 years of friendship. I will miss Jimmy.
