Not sure what to say?

I am amazed how many times Rev. Grubbs comes to my heart and mind! I am reading the book of John again because he also urged me to read this! He was definitely one of the most influential people in my life!

We will miss you David. You were a great mentor. Peace.

Mindy,

I send my condolences to you and know that David touched many lives and devoted his life to the Lord and his family.

Reverend Grubbs influenced my life in ways no one ever has. I was in junior high when I met him. He became a father, mentor in every way. This was in Kingsport Tennessee in the early 60's. I am saddened by his passing but I will forever cherish the wonderful memories.

Romans 14:7-9 For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's. For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.

David was our pastor and friend for many years at First Church of God in Kingsport, TN. He was truly a man of God and many in Kingsport cried when he left. He performed our marriage ceremony 48 years ago and through his preaching my husband was saved just days before he shipped out to Vietnam. Our condolences to his family. We know we will see him soon, for there is no doubt that he sits at the Fathers right hand.

Please accept my deepest sympathy for your great loss. I pray that Almighty God provide peace and strength as you endure this very difficult time.

He was truly an amazing man. He was my Grandfather. He was my role model and still is. I'm truly going to miss him
