Mr. James Robert Gurley

James Robert Gurley "Jamie", 45, of Valdese passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 at Carolina's Healthcare Blue Ridge in Morganton following a period of declining health. Jamie was born August 18, 1973 in Anchorage, Alaska. He is survived by his wife Muranda; step-daughter, Kaidence; his mother, Wanda Gurley of the home ,who is a dedicated mother who spent the last several years caring for Jamie; the caring and compassion of both his mother and father had no boundaries; his father, James Rockey Gurley of Flager Beach, FL; step father Rodney Kral of the home; Jamie's children, James and wife Tiffany, of Flager Beach, FL, Matthew, Andrew, Autumn, Landon, and Kaleb ; sister, Melissa Gurley Lloyd and husband James Lloyd of Morganton; brother, Chris Gurley and wife Elaine Gurley of Flager Beach, FL;; grandchildren, Kendric, Kensleigh, and Elizabeth of Florida; nieces, Samantha, Chelsea Holder and husband Matt, Chelsea Carswell and husband Bobby and Alex of Flager, FL; grandmother, Ruth Hamaker of Port Orange, FL; uncles, Billy Carswell and Paul Hamaker; and Aunt Aloma Mullins and husband Frank. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held 3:00PM Monday, November 12, 2018 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service .
