Not sure what to say?

I am shocked to hear of Dr. Gurley´s passing. I had the absolute privilege of working for him as his Dental Hygienist for 13-14 years, until my family moved out of state. He was truly one of a kind! I never worked another day as Hygienist, no doubt, never finding another boss/dentist as wonderful as he. I will hold my memories of him close to my heart. My deepest sympathies to all of his family and friends. RIP

Doc, you were a great guy. It was a pleasure working for you. You were a good friend. I'm sorry I just heard this news. Godspeed.

My heart hurts for all the family. I know, well believe you all have stayed close, as an outsider of your family I always wished I was a part of it. It was the American dream of you could be anything you wished for. I hope all the children see this and achieve this as well. My prayer are with you, Trace

My Deepest sympathy to the Gurley Family. I just learned today that he was gone and am saddened and completely shocked I have been traveling an hour each way since he took over my childhood dentists practice. I will miss him and our conversations. I was looking forward to seeing him this Monday.

Belated condolences and sympathy on the passing of the good doctor. Appointments were more like great conversations about a number of topics - interrupted by excellent dental care. Car stories were the best. We lost a really good man.

I have been seeing Dr. Gurley twice a year since the mid-Eighties, including after my moving to Washington, D.C. and then Chicago. He was not only a great dentist but also an inspiration to me. As (apparently) life-long bachelors, bicyclists and travelers, I felt a kinship with Dr. Gurley. We would always spend a few minutes after the exam chatting about our travels and lives. I even fixed him up on a blind date with my boss when I worked at WMJI. Even though it didn't work out...

My deepest sympathies to all family & friends of Dr. Gurley. I had been his dental patient since he first took over the practice of a retiring dentist back in the 1970´s. He took such good care of my teeth & I considered him a friend. He also kindly cared for my mother´s teeth until she was over 100. I just learned of his passing today, November 9, & I am shocked & saddened.

Dear Rick and family- I am so sorry to have just learned of your brother´s passing.... Sending thoughts and Prayers to all of you!

So sad to read this, he was an interesting man and my dentist. As many share a consummate professional. RIP
