Not sure what to say?

I worked with Col. Hadfield some years ago when he co-chaired Utah's hosting of the National Guard Association conference in 1992. He was a joy to work with and a most personable and professional officer. I was truly sorry to learn of his passing.

Oh, Elaine, we were so sad to hear of this sadness for your family. JH was always so cordial and welcoming and complimentary to our children as they came for piano lessons. He was the perfect man to greet each of us as he handed out the doughnuts at recitals! Our love and prayers are with you and your family. We will see you at the BYU games this fall. We will be home from our mission then.

Mayor Hadfield was one of the finest men I have ever known. I admire his courage. He was strong and he was kind. He was a true friend. I and so many others will miss him dearly. My thoughts and prayers go to Elaine and all of the family at this time.

My condolences to Elaine and the rest of the Hadfield family. JH was a friend and mentor to me. He was a friend to the Provo River Water Users Association. He was very helpful in the enclosure of the Murdock Canal and building the trail that is now there. We will miss him.

Til we meet again, Brother. May God bless Elaine and your loved ones!

James at our 2010 Fall meet In Sandy

Sorry to hear about James passing. He was a fellow plate collecting friend and will be missed at our meets! I'll let the others know.
