Not sure what to say?

To Jim's family and friends: I want to write as a member of one of the online book discussion groups Jim enjoyed. Jim entertained us so much and knew so much about books. The many anguished messages currently reaching our group is testament to how we felt about Jim. My thoughts and best wishes are with you.

Maureen,
Like others who have left messages, I knew Jim through the Book Barn and always enjoyed his quick wit and his talk of books and the countries he visited. He will be greatly missed by everyone in our little book community and my heart goes out to you and your family.

Maureen, I can only echo what other members of the Book Barn have written. I have known him for over 10 years through our small reading community. Jim is the person who knitted us together with his wit, his joy in living and his interest in all of us.
My heart hurts for you.

Jim knew me as Suzz but my real name is Susan.

Maureen, my heart goes out to you and your family. I knew Jim through the Book Barn, our e-mail book group, and he was always thoughtful and witty. I had the great good fortune of meeting him last summer and we talked of going to an Indians game some time (along with complaining about the quality of our respective baseball teams). My condolences.

Jim was a delightful person and always quick with a pun. He enriched The Book Barn (our book chat list) immensely and he will be sorely missed.

Maureen, we have never met, but have come to know you vicariously through Jim. He was a very important and integral part of a book chat list several of us belong to and we've known his kindness, his humor, his insights and his inspiration there for over 10 years. He touched many lives in our online community and he will be so very deeply missed. I am so very sorry for your loss, for our loss, and for the world's loss. Jim was a man well versed in the art of friendship and I shall always...

I spent several days with Jim in South Africa and I came to look at him as a friend rather than a client. Spending our evenings with a bottle of wine, talking business, he always could make me laugh.

Dr. Mitchell, I am so sorry for your great loss. Mr. Hake was so kind and sweet spirited, and that is exactly how I will remember your loving husband. Just want you to know I am thinking of you. My prayers to you and your family.

Hello Maureen!

We have never met, but, Jim and I have known each other since Lincoln Elementary School days. I am truly sorry for your loss. Jim was a good guy.
