JAMES ROBERT HALEY James Robert (J.R.) Haley age 83 of Springdale died October 12, 2008 at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born August 14, 1925 in Yale, Oklahoma to James Isaac and Lillie Taylor Haley. He was a WWII Air Force Veteran and was a member of Elmdale Baptist Church since 1961. He was founder of Shiloh Tank & Erection Company in Springdale in 1969 and later founded Shiloh Steel Fabricators Inc. in 1977. He was a past member and President of the Springdale Lions Club and was a Mason and Shriner. He was a licensed pilot, as well as held a General Class amateur radio license. He enjoyed making knives and traveling with his wife and friends. J. R. was a respected business man in our community. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Wyndee Diane Haley and one brother Loye Haley. He is survived by his wife Ruth Frick Haley of the home whom he married January 20, 1946 in Yale, Ok. Three sons: Ron Haley and wife Jaylon, Chuck Haley and wife Janet and Jim Haley and wife Tracy all of Springdale, four brothers, Wade Haley of Ripley, Ok., Hurshel Haley of Magnolia, Tx., Glen Haley of Rogers, Ar. and Leon Haley of Stillwater, Ok., two sisters Maralee Dennis of Yale, Ok., and Marietta Stoops of Ponca City, Ok. Eight grandchildren, Chris Haley, Damon Bivens, John Haley, Summer Vaughn, Aireal Haley, Oliver Haley, Braden Haley and Kalyon Haley. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Rev. Tom Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Childrens Hospital 800 Marshall Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202 or Shriners International Hospital 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, Florida 33607.
