Not sure what to say?

I am very sorry for your loss. Jim was my teacher at NYU in the late 60s, and became my friend. Many years later, I married the grand-daughter of the Bobby Jarvis, the theatre director who convinced Jim that he should be a set designer! We met up with Jim by chance in Lambertville. It was full circle. An amazing man who had a profound influence on everyone he touched.

I was very lucky to have Jim in my life. We all were. This world has truly lost a most special Gift. While much has improved because of you, my dear friend, we are lesser without you. You changed my life for the better, forever. Thank you. With endless love and appreciation to you and your family.

I knew Jim for many years and was sad to learn of his passing. his passion for food and his excellence at the Grill were my best experiences with him in Lambertville. My sincere condolences to both Gabby & Melissa, who were also kind to me over the years.

Jim Hamilton - So sad to hear the passing of Mr. Jim Hamilton. Several great memories with Jim. So glad I had the pleasure of spending some time with him over the summer. Lambertville won't be the same without him....Lavell Ross

I am so sorry for your loss. Jim designed my yoga studio and my women's clothing store. He was one of the kindest, genuine, brilliant, and fun loving individuals I have ever known. He will be missed.

Jim was a friend and supporter of New Hope Arts from our very beginning in 2002. He served as a founding board member, the inspiration for Savor, one of the first culinary fundraising events in the area, and we proudly hosted his one-man show in 2015. We remember him fondly. His sculpture design for our building is treasured.

I offer my condolences to the family of Jim Hamilton. He was the best teacher I ever had. A mentor though I didn't know what the word meant at the time. In our classes at NYU his approach stressed creativity and thinking big.
In the late 1960's when everyone was trying to be cool, Hamilton was the coolest one in the room.

At his shop in Lambertville, he put us to work on a giant collage cyclorama for "Hair". I was nervous and couldn't believe he trusted us to do it.

He had more joie de vivre than anyone I have ever known.

My Daughter Alysia, Son Eric and I shared a drink at the boat house with Jim. He will remain a memorable acquaintance. On my paying for his drink he asked What was that for?
