James Lloyd Hamlin

The world has lost a great human being. I'm sure he will be greatly missed by all who ever knew him. I served with him in the Academy Band (1962-1967)and remained good friends ever since. He was a joy to know--a very kind and gentle man and such a greatly accomplished and well respected solo clarinet player. Jim was probably the best clarinet player the Academy Band has ever had.
His wit and sense of humor are legend.
I loved being in the Clarinet Section with Jim, and will never forget him.

What a great man we've lost. Jim was in the Air Force Academy Band when I joined in 1970. He took us "youngsters" under his wing. He was a kind and gentle man.....and one heck of a clarinet player! Our thoughts and condolences to his family. Keith Bearden
