Not sure what to say?

James was my good friend when we were buddies in Harrison S.D. My Dad was Pastor of Harrison CRC, (1941/45) and the Hannink's lived just about two blocks away. Tho we were very close in age, we were not in the same grade and it is well possible he was a grade ahead of me. But we had great fun together! So sorry to hear of his passing!

Hi Kay & Doug,

Sorry to hear Jim passed away. Sorry for your loss. He was like a dad to me. Him & Florence were my home away from home for almost two years when I was in college at Grand Valley. I miss them both. I'm glad he met my little girls. I have good memories living at your mom & dad's place in Hudsonville.

We were truly blessed to have known him & for Rich to have fished with him.

dear kay and doug, family and friends. sorry i won't be able to be with you as you gather to celebrate a life well lived. for me personally Jim is a hero of The Faith. words won't do. memories won;t fade. love charlie

Elmer & Abby Hoffman & 'Juke' De Young, Condolences to you on the loss of a brother. It always brings back lots of Hudsonville memories when I see a familiar name on mlive. Fond remembrances of each of you & your families. Helen Hamming Selders - Houston, TX

You will see him again in Paradise. May you sense His unending peace until you see your dad again. He is at home with his savior working on the mansions for other saints. The Lord just needed another carpenter.

Kay and Doug. We are sorry to miss your Dad's celebration but we are on the way to California to see Sandy's sister who has had a stroke and then broke her ankle trying to get help.

Your Dad was quite the guy always willing to help where it was needed. Never an unkind word. Gave me a job for a little while one summer between college years. Truly appreciated it. Our condolences Tim and Sandy Stegeman
