James "Spider" Hardage, 74, of Hot Springs, died Tuesday, September 25, 2007 in a local hospital.

He was born on October 13, 1932 in Hot Springs to Wilmar and Vina Hardage. A lifelong resident of Hot Springs and graduate of Lakeside High School, he retired from Chamberlain and Sterling. He was preceded by his parents; and grandson, Andrew Athetis IV.

James is survived by his wife of 55 years Wanda Robbins Hardage of Hot Springs; one daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Drew Athetis of Phoenix Arizona; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Danny and Tracy Hardage, Joe Hardage, and Ronnie Hardage all of Hot Springs; one step-son, Ricky Robbins of Tulsa, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Athetis, Dana Hardage, Daniel Hardage, Melisa Hardage, Miranda Hardage, Cody Hardage, and Michelle Jennings; six great-grandchildren, McKinley Norton, Millie Hardage, Mirisha Hardage, Ricky Robbins. Shannon Robbins, and Terry Robbins; numerous cousins; and a host of friends.

The family will be receiving friends at 103 Westhill Lane, Wednesday, September 26th from 1:00PM until 8:00PM.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs, Arkansas.

dear wanda, so sorry to hear of spiders passing. you don't know me but i knew spider years ago from the aces. i, betty allen and [t.c.] tom chaney were so sorry to read the obit. he will be missed. many people knew and cared about him
