Not sure what to say?

As I mow the yard today in the heat, I will feel that Jim is there with me. He always mowed his yard in the hottest part of the day. Jim and I had a pact about cutting the grass between the drive ways. Miss you, Jim

For sure, Jim was the worlds best neighbor. We were blessed to have known him. We think of him often.

I always fondly think of Jim when I go out to cut the grass. He would go out in the middle of the day in the heat of the summer to mow the yard. He would cut the entire strip between the two driveways if I couldn't beat him to it What a great neighbor, I miss him.

A great man, not enough like him. Loved playing softball with him. I always thought of him as Mr West End Baptist Church.

Such a wonderful man, he'll be missed. It was a pleasure to know him.

Pudge and Joyce Harmon always welcomed me into their home growing up since their daughter, Diane was one of my best friends! All of us at West End Baptist Church grew up with many extra parents always loving and leading us in our Christian walk. Pudge and Yale were the first to come to my parents home when my Mother passed away. Pudge was always there! Praying for each of you today -- Love and Blessings, Debbie Minchew

His smiling face will missed so much. What a wonderful example he was to friends and family. He had the kindest heart and our family loved he and Joyce and have many good memories of them. Thank God they are together again.

What wonderful memories we have of the best neighbor ever. Our sadness is only exceeded by the joy of knowing Jim has been able to reunite with his loving Joyce.

Our wonderful friend Pudge is with his dear wife Joyce, together rejoicing in the presence of the Lord.

Through the last 68 years of working together in the Rice University book store to managing the Rice ROMEO group luncheons, we have been friends. I will miss Pudge's welcome phone calls with some good jokes which often brightened my days and his income tax horror stories told me that I was not alone.

To his beloved girls, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their families:...
