Not sure what to say?

Prof. Harper was my jury members in my PhD defense and my thesis, I remember that I could feel his enthusiasm in science and his positive attitude. His distinctive positive approach to encourage to learn is still as vivid as 20 years ago. I feel so lucky to have him as a good example in my memory. He lives in us with his guidance, Thank you James from all the way from Istanbul, Turkey,

Jim is still being a real good example to remember and refer to, as a good person, as a real professor and a scientist for me.

I'm so sad at Jim's passing, but it's a comfort to remember the many wonderful qualities and experiences he shared with us. Every day was a gift.

Jim is such a wonderful man. I got to know him through my husband at UNH, besides his academic achievement, he showed me how to be better person. He will be remembered always. RIP.

Jim helped me a lot when I was a junior faculty at UNH and gave me so much advice even when he was very sick early this year. I felt so lucky that I could work with him for four years. Now I am in Intel and Jim is always my role model.

I am lucky meet him and have him as a PhD committee member. He was a very kind, supportive and very knowledgeable scientist, professor. I am in Turkey now, going on my academic life as a lecturer, having him as a model to be in future.

Jim was a wonderful man whose presence in our community will be missed. Peace, grace and love to Beryl and their daughters.

Jim's contributions will long be remembered, and he shall be missed.
