HARRINGTON, James P. Of Bedford, Sept. 20. Survived by his parents, Peter and Joan (Kelly) Harrington; two sons, Matthew and Kyle Harrington and their mother Caroley Parsons; his siblings and their spouses, John and his wife, Sarah (Van Buskirk) Harrington, Maura Harrington and her husband, Thomas Tucker and Matthew Harrington, his partner, Tammy Ghizzoni and her son, Tyler, four nieces and nephews, Maeve, Frances, Nicholas and Johnny; 23 first cousins and many close second cousins, aunts and uncles. Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Rd., Bedford, on Thurs. from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M and on Fri. from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Irene Catholic Church, 181 East St., Carlisle, on Sat., at 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Second Step, P.O. Today I learned about James' passing. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who loved and knew James.

I will never forget the countless times that my friend, Mike, and I would walk by James' childhood home in Newton. He and our mutual friend, Bill, would be playing basketball. James would yell over to us to invite us to play. It was always Mike and I against Bill and James. We had some intense, competitive games. That is what I will remember about James: his fierce competitiveness...

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Harrington family. Jim was an incredible person, father, friend, and he will be dearly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him.

I am shocked and deeply saddened to learn of James' passing. My deepest condolences to Carolee, Matthew and Kyle for your terrible loss. James grew up with my nephew Kenny and frequently came to our home. He always took the time to talk to me and visit, even when Ken wasn't around. In later years, I would run into him in Newtonville, and we would talk for a long time. He was always upbeat, happy and grateful for his family and all that he had!
