Read MoreJim had a wry sense of humor, and even when he had to do frequent medical treatments, he was always upbeat and optimistic. He was curious and articulate about everything going on in computing, so he was interesting to talk to. He also was WONDERFUL with our kids (his great-niece Jasmine and great-nephew Evan). We will miss him so much! We are so sorry to lose him.

Jim Hart and my self, Joe Rogers came to Naval Postgraduate School within 6 months of each other. We became close friends and enjoyed each others company. We even went to conferences such as Comdex and other computer related events. I remember his and Karen's great loss when their daughter Kristin died in a diabetic coma. Jim was an inspiration to me and a great help when I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes. He and I really enjoyed going out for Chinese food. I knew of his battle...
