Not sure what to say?

I was doing research on my grandfather James Hayden and saw the Legacy link to James Edward Hayden who passed away at age 47 (I hadn't noticed the date). As a native of NYC and a former firefighter, I had lost so many friends on that terrible day . . . While I never knew James Edward Hayden, the messages posted here are wonderfully heartfelt about a truly great man who was taken from this life too soon. I feel the pain of your loss today, 24 years later.

21 years later and my thoughts still go to the good guy we worked with at Prime/Computervision, who was gone too soon and in such a terrible way, like so many others on that day. RIP Jim Hayden.

I pray the world never forgets that kind people like you James Hayden lost their lives in such a horrific way 20 years ago. May your families find peace

I got to work with Jim only for a short while - he was honest, ethical, smart, kind, caring, affable, religious - and a strong family man - thoughts of him often

I can’t believe it’s been 19 years, it feels as if it was just yesterday. You are thought of and missed. Guide and watch your family from above. May all the lives lost on 9/11 never be forgotten

Think of you often, I will never forget the years we worked together. RIP and watch your family grow from heaven above and know it gives them peace. Sue Frye

Never Forget.
RIP Jimmy.

On the first anniversary of 9/11, I selected a name from the list of those lost that day. A hero to remember and honor, each day since.
James Edward Hayden was the name, and I have kept it written on a Post-it and placed on my monitor ever since. I brought the Post-it with me when I changed jobs, and one of the first things I did when settling in at my new desk was to place the Post-it with his name on my monitor. I read his name every morning, and have always wondered who he was, who...

The heavens welcomed a beautiful man that horrific day. Never forget such a kind, gentle man.
