SANFORD - Retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. James Lyman Hayter, 89, of Sanford, died Saturday, July 14, 2012. Visitation, 2 to 4 p.m. today at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home in Sanford. Survived by: Daughters, Peggy Strange, Nancy Greer and Jamie Hockaday; brother, Kenneth; and three grandchildren.
