Not sure what to say?

"Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."

Ah Jim these words by Dylan Thomas may have been written for you as you surely did not go gently into the night but staid and fought with all your might.

And at times when I find myself weary, wishing time to just pass I will think of you and rally. I'll look upon each day anew, as a gift, a blessing from you.

All because you, dear heart, did not go gentle into that...

Dear Janice & Family:

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I will always remember Jim's sunny personality as he would breeze through my office door for his massage appointments. I always looked forward to hearing of the latest antics of the boys or the details of your most recent vacation. He was amazing and loved his family very much.

Janice and family,
I knew Jim in the early 70’s as I was one of his teachers and coaches at Marist School. Jim was the smallest lineman on our football team in ‘74. He always gave more than any one. More than once I saw him require help getting to our locker room after a game. He used every ounce of energy in his body to perform his assignments on the field.
Marist football got better after Jim graduated – not because he left but because of his unrelenting efforts when he played....

Janie and family, We were sorry to hear about Jim's passing. We did go to the funeral Saturday and even though it was sad, it was so uplifting to hear Jim's friends and family share their memories of their lives with Jim. He was a remarkable man who will be missed by all who knew him.

You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I worked for Dr. Hazlehurst for 5 years, but had to honor of knowing him many years prior. I can still here his laugh and will never forget his collection of festive socks. He pushed me to be a better Ophthalmic Assistant, to continue and finish my degree at CSU, Chico and like a good friend, he helped me to grow as a better person. I will greatly miss him!

Janice and boys

Dear Janice and family,
I can still hear that smile in his voice and see that mischievous smile on his face. Jim Hazlehurst, my med school classmate, friend, and co-conspirator: after a hard week of classes we broke away and waited tables together on weekends. How I wish we could conspire together again! Jim was blessed with a gift of joy that he shared with others... and of life; so much life that it took a disease that overcomes people in mere weeks over four years to take him. He will...

Janice and family,
Dave and I were talking last night about Jim and what a joy he was to be with and to have as a friend. We heard the news today of his death and are grieving with you from afar. We are so grateful to have had the gift of time with you both two years ago. You all remain in our prayers. We love you.

Dear Janice and family,
What a beautiful tribute to a wonderful man; who lived his life to the fullest. I am so happy I was able to spend some time with you both. You were so kind and generous. I'm sure Jim is on to a new adventure. God bless you and keep you all.
